Ananya Rao

Ananya Rao joined Northwood in 2024 as an associate on the health team in London, working alongside Amira Haddad. She covers diagnostics, clinical workflow and the business of getting new products paid for.

Ananya trained as a health economist and spent three years advising hospitals on which new technologies were worth adopting. She has read a great many reimbursement submissions, good and bad, and she brings that to her work with founders: helping them build the evidence and the cost case a buyer will actually ask for, well before the first procurement meeting. She also keeps the team’s running notes on how different health systems decide what to buy.

She is a keen if unremarkable climber and spends most Sunday mornings at a bouldering wall in Hackney.
