Amira Haddad

Partner, London

Amira Haddad leads Northwood’s health practice. She joined in 2016 and has since backed companies across diagnostics, clinical trials and the administrative work that sits between patients and payers.

Amira trained as a cardiologist and spent six years in hospital medicine in London before joining a small health software company as its clinical lead. She is direct about evidence: she wants to know what a product has shown in a real clinical setting, who pays for it, and how long a hospital procurement cycle will take. She led the investment in Cardia, acquired in 2021, and now sits on the boards of Lumio and Priora.

Amira reads a lot of crime fiction and runs a book group that has met on the first Thursday of every month for over a decade.
