Grant Holloway

Managing Partner, New York

Before he joined Northwood in 2014, Grant Holloway spent twelve years in manufacturing, the last five running operations at a parts maker in Ohio with three plants and about nine hundred staff. He still thinks about most companies in terms of throughput, uptime and who is on the floor at 3am.

Grant has been managing partner since 2022, chairs the investment committee and still invests in robotics, factory software and agricultural technology from the New York office. He led the firm’s Series A investment in Loadstar, which went public in 2021, and is on the boards of Halden and Veldt. Founders who work with him can expect site visits; he would rather see a robot running in a customer’s warehouse than a video of one.

He grew up on a farm in Iowa and still goes back each autumn to help with the harvest.
