Jun Seo

Associate, New York

Jun Seo is an associate in New York, working with Theo Marchetti on infrastructure and developer tools. He joined in 2023 and spends most of his time meeting technical founders early, often before they have raised anything.

Jun was a software engineer for four years at a data infrastructure start-up, where he worked on the storage layer and was on call more often than he would have liked. He reads the code where it is public and tries the product where it is not, and his first conversations with founders are usually about architecture rather than market size. He also writes much of the firm’s internal research on open-source projects.

Outside work, Jun builds mechanical keyboards and is slowly running out of places to put them.
