Kitebird: Scheduling for frontline workforces
Active
Retailers, care providers and hospitality groups use Kitebird to schedule staff who rarely sit at a desk. Managers build a rota in minutes, and employees swap shifts, pick up open ones and request leave from their phones, with rules on working hours and rest breaks enforced automatically. Its largest customer schedules 38,000 people across 1,100 sites.
We first met Priya when she was running workforce planning for a national supermarket chain and building her own tools on the side. Kwame led our investment in the 2020 Series A, a few months into the pandemic, when frontline employers were redrawing their rotas every week and Kitebird’s usage tripled.
The company now works with more than 2,000 employers in the UK, Ireland and the Nordics, and is opening its first office in North America.
