Kwame Asante

Principal, London

Kwame Asante is a principal in London, working on seed and Series A investments in financial and operational software. He joined Northwood in 2019 and has led the firm’s investments in Kitebird, Quillo and Tabula.

Before Northwood, Kwame led product at a small-business lender, where he built the tools its credit team used to approve loans. He looks for software aimed at people poorly served by the tools they have: shift managers, finance teams in mid-sized firms, operations staff working out of shared spreadsheets. With founders he is most useful on pricing and on the first sales hire, two decisions he has seen go wrong often enough to have opinions.

Kwame plays five-a-side football on Tuesday evenings and is the self-appointed keeper of the team’s results spreadsheet.
